[Mono-dev] Problems with gtk# on a mandriva system.

I've just tried to install mono on a mandriva system and so far most of it
seems to be working, but.. I can't get gtk# working.
If I do
mcs SimpleApp.cs -pkg:gtk-sharp
Package gtk-sharp was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk-sharp.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtk-sharp' found
error CS8027: Error running pkg-config. Check the above output.
I turned on PKG_CONFIG_DEBUG_SPEW, followed by pkg-config --libs gtk-sharp and
got heaps of .pc files, none of which were gtk-sharp.
mono --version gives..
Mono JIT compiler version 1.1.15, (C) 2002-2005 Novell, Inc and Contributors.
GC: Included Boehm (with typed GC)
pkg-config --version gtk-sharp returns 0.19 (which I don't understand since it
can't be found at other times).
any help would be appreciated.
