Here's a followup:
When I remove the config directory, I get some messages about a problem
Assembly not found: gtk-sharp, Version=126.96.36.199, Culture=neutral,
WARNING: [MonoDevelop.Components,1.0.0] Could not load some add-in
assemblies: Could not load file or assembly 'gtk-sharp,
Version=188.8.131.52, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=35e10195dab3c99f' or
one of its dependencies.
So, obviously, I check for gtk-sharp on my system:
I'm not real sure about the details, but should there be a
.../policy.2.12.gtk-sharp/... in that list?
When I look in Synaptic, it says I have gtk-sharp-2.12 installed, but
all the description text still says gtk-2.10.
To my untrained eye it appears as if I *do* have gtk-sharp-2.12
installed but it's not being found.
Any further hints/tips/RTFMs for me?
