Yes. Model columns and view columns are seperate entities, and there is
no requirement that they have a 1:1 mapping. (That's what makes the
TreeView/TreeModel combo so powerful).=20
Some possible combinations:
* Multiple view columns can all refer to a single model column; this is
demonstrated in the managed tree view demo
* View columns can be composites of the data in multiple model columns
* Additional model columns could exist without any associated view
column, essentially providing hidden data columns.
Btw, this functionality has been available all along, just not easily
(or not at all) accessible through Gtk#.
