That is basically my point.
To me, gtk# is only as useful as the widgets and library's that are
wrapped. By moving the glue to a 1:1 association with the managed
assemblies, it is easier to integrate other widget/library wrappers into
the gtk-sharp distribution, as well as making packaging an immense
amount easier. To me (and I might very well be wrong), it seems like it
would be easier on the developer.
I can personally think of many uses of having just GLib# installed, as I
can think of multiple applications that don't use anything other than
GLib (from gtk+/relatives).=20
